Stars Gym is a unique gym situated on the River Thames in Battersea, London. With such a wide variety of gym facilities on offer, it was important for them to find a communication solution that could contribute towards increasing their membership numbers.
We spoke to Tashiba about why they decided to implement SMS into their marketing campaign and how this resulted in membership growth.

The Plan
Tashiba explains, that when they were searching for new communication tools to boost membership, they considered a tonne of options including SMS, using outdoor signage, flyers, website and social media as a way of reaching potential prospects.
‘We decided on FireText as it was easy to use and affordable’ Tashiba explained. ‘SMS was a quick and easy way of approaching leads and prospects that we already have stored and ready to go on our database, not only this, but we could also be sure that with such a high open rate our messages were going to be seen.’

The team at Stars Gym were already collecting mobile numbers from customers and leads in their database, which meant that they could get started on campaigns instantly. ‘We would select a list of relevant contacts for our database, then create a text accordingly to the offer we would like to forward, and finally send the text out.’

The Results
Tashiba was happy to see a considerable growth in their membership as well as an increase in customers returning to the gym!
They didn’t experience any problems implementing SMS into their existing marketing strategy, and as such, they continue to send regular SMS marketing campaigns with great success.
