We have some new exciting updates to share with you! After listening to your requests the team have been working on developing our current Email to SMS feature and I’m super happy to announce that we can now offer you a ‘Conversational’ add on to our existing Email to SMS feature.
This feature is a completely free add on that can be toggled onto your account in seconds. If you haven’t had a chance to get up and running with our current Email to SMS service then you can find out lots more here. Essentially you are able to send and receive SMS messages directly from within your favourite email client.
This new feature add-on will cleverly pull through the SMS conversation you have had with that recipient over the past few days (typically 7). This is super handy as you will be able to instantly read through the previous conversation you were having, making it nice and easy to respond to them.
The feature would be awesome for multiple use cases. For example, if you are using SMS within your customer service team, it will allow you to respond right away, as you won’t have to remind yourself of the previous conversation, it will be right there in front of you. If you are responding to customer queries efficiently, through some awesome SMS messages then this will help to improve your customer relationships!
It would also be super handy if you have an internal team who are managing the FireText system. They will be able to use the conversational add on in order to see if another member of their team has had comms with that recipient. This will allow them to either read the previous conversation and pick off where their colleague left off, or easily allocate it to the right person helping to make their process even more efficient.
If you are using two-way SMS to send out transactional messages, such as appointment reminders, then this feature would also be perfect for you. When the recipient texts back to either confirm, change or cancel their appointment, the system will automatically pull through any messages sent to that recipient (over the past few days), so you will be able to see exactly which appointment they are responding to, making it nice and easy to reply and make any potential updates on your side.
These are just a few examples of the many ways you can utilise our conversational email to SMS add-on, to help ensure your business text messaging remains super effective and efficient.
